The focus should be on the bikes (and the old-schoolednesses of them ) and not on the competition. a quote from a participant in another thread I was the other participant. And I also said something along the lines of "once we hit the gate, we'll be going all out -- but once we cross the finish line, it's done... no worry about points or what we need to do to get to the finals." The KOS Series focuses more on competition -- the getting enough points to make it to the finals to win plates and prizes. The rules on the bikes are a little more lax. The Flashback races tilt the scales a little in the opposite direction. It's not like we'll all be floating around the track doing a parade lap...

Lou -- what year is that DG? I still have a few sets of black wall Comp III style (probably Kendas or Cheng Shins). Some are old, some are new.
I can bring 'em with me next time I see you. They're yours if you want them.

It's not like we'll all be floating around the track doing a parade lap... the oblect of any race is to win , why wait till the gate drops to change your mindset. Either it is a race and you go into it as such or its a parade lap to show off some bikes...you really cant have it both ways.
