Yes, I'm back ;D
Can someone please point me to where I can get info on what all these series (state/district, redline cup, etc) consist of? I have looked at the mag, and on aba site, but I can't find anything to explain it.
Thanks. Loren

the district will include everyone that races. all points ,no matter where you race go back to your district. If you race in florida ,your points go back to NJ01. this is also the number that most will use because you can use it anywhere. There is no cap for district points so the more you race the more points you earn, the better your district number.
state is exactly the way it sounds. 3 state races and the championship will determine your state number.
redline cup, I believe they take your 2 best finishes and the cup championship to determine that number.

Thanks. Thats about what I figured out. Personally I think High point series are stupid, but thats just me. How do I find out where the Redline cup championship is? Is is just the last East cup race (NY)?

I always loved the high point series , it encourages you to get to the track as much as possible. It also encourages riders to turn expert as the point differential is huge between experts and inter. expert 1st place=100 pts inter 1st place=50 pts nov 1st place=25 pts with the point structure being like it is,it would be almost impossible for anyone other than an expert to win a district title or even place in the top 5. The old point structure was incredibly confusing and hard to track.
I believe the east finals for the redline cup are in kentucky on labor day weekend

In the NBL regional series I finished 4th beihind a guy that never won a moto ,he just went to more races than I did.
the not going to Kentucky thing, thats your choice but it is the same track that held the NBL grands. I do think that USABMX should adapt their redline cup into a regional series for those that dont want to or just cant travel that far for a race. Remeber 2012 is sort of a transition period for BMX racing as a whole , I am sure that things will be closely monitored and revamped in 2013 for the betterment of the sport.
